The Family Link Team was established in September 2002.
In Bexhill there are five Link Workers and one manager covering 10 schools in total. .
Each year the Bexhill Link workers work intensively with just over 100 children and their families. They work with children aged 5yrs to 13 yrs old.
Eight Primary schools in the Bexhill area have a Link worker attached to them and both St Richard’s Catholic College and Bexhill High have at least one link worker attached to their year 7s and year 8s.
Most of the young people are referred by designated members of staff in each school, but sometimes families and young people refer themselves.
In addition there are other groups operating on behalf of children and families in Bexhill.
